Updated: 3 days ago

Case Summary 🔎
Patient Information
Age / Sex: 80-year-old male
Medical History: Currently taking medication for prostate disease.
Clinical Diagnosis: Non-restorable maxillary anterior teeth (#11, #12, #21, and #22) with severe coronal destruction and residual roots.
Case Summary
The patient presented with severely compromised maxillary anterior teeth, with almost complete loss of the clinical crowns and only residual roots remaining. As the affected teeth were deemed non-restorable, extraction followed by immediate implant placement was performed. Three ALX-BT implants were placed to support a five-unit splinted prosthetic restoration. Following an appropriate healing period, the definitive prosthesis was delivered to restore the function and esthetics of the maxillary anterior region.
1️⃣Pre-op
Severe coronal destruction with residual roots at #11, #12, #21, and #22 prior to implant treatment.

Surgical exposure and extraction of residual roots at #11, #12, #21, and #22.

2️⃣Surgery
Drilling up to Ø3.5 mm and placement of three ALX-BT implants in the maxillary anterior region.
#11 ALX-BT Ø4.5x12, D333, 25Ncm, IST 68
#21 ALX-BT Ø4.5x8, D333, 30Ncm, IST 76
#23 ALX-BT Ø4.5x10, D333, 35Ncm, IST 82

Post-operative Clinical and Radiographic Assessment, Healing Abutment Placement, and Flipper Delivery

3️⃣Prosthesis
At the 3-month follow-up, IST values were #11: 79, #21: 79, and #23: 81. Based on the favorable stability measurements, Healing cap were connected and digital impressions were taken for prosthetic fabrication.

The prosthesis was digitally designed.
