Situation
The patient was a 71 years old male with residual maxillary dentition using a partial denture of the upper arch.
Pre-operative Radiograph
Intra-oral photograph : Teeth showed grade 2 mobility.
To position the implants correctly a CBCT was performed and Simplant software was used to design the implant location.
Before the procedure a wax up and mock up were made as well as a navigation splint and a splint for temporary restoration. Under infiltration anesthesia the residual teeth were extracted.
Implants were immersed with the force of 35 to 45 Ncm.
A closed lift was performed for the Schneiderian membrane of the right maxillary sinus. Implant 16 was stabilized at 10 Ncm and was not loaded immediately. A temporary bridge was made at full occlusion on temporary connectors screwed to the implants with the force of 20 Ncm.
Post-operative Radiograph
After stability was obtained (4.5 months) impressions were collected.
The metal framework supported by standard connectors was tried in.
The restoration was then produced and finally cemented.
