Intra-oral photograph.
5mm small vertical incision was made on the buccal side of the #26.
A small hole was made into the sinus above the implant apex with a round bur.
A 20 gauge needle was connected to a 10cc syringe, and the needle was inserted into the sinus cavity for aspiration.
Approximately 8cc of pus was extracted.
Saline was inserted into the sinus, and the process was repeated 3-4 times, until clean water was extracted.
1g of cephalosporin was diluted with 1.5cc of saline.
The antibiotic was injected into the sinus directly.
This procedure was repeated every day for 3-4 days until the sinus became clean.
